Candy Doak Seale
Candy was born, raised and educated in Houston, Texas. She attended Austin College in Sherman Texas her freshman year where she met Jesus Christ who became her LORD and Savior. She then transferred and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, studying Christian Education. While there, she also became a certified teacher with Evangelical Teacher Training Association. She then completed her Master’s Degree at the University of Houston in Education, focusing on curriculum development.
Upon graduation, she joined the staff of Camp Peniel, ministering to and writing and teaching the Bible to the juvenile offenders at the Harris County Youth Village. This is where she met her husband, Byron Seale.
Since their marriage in 1980, she and Byron developed Family and Children Educational Ministries (FACE Ministries) where they have taken opportunities to teach the Bible to men, women, children, teens, and families. Throughout their years in ministry together, God has continued to grow Candy’s teaching and writing ministry. Her passion is to disciple, encourage, inspire and motivate Christians to know God through his Word, in its context and in its entirety.
Candy and Byron have been married for 35 years. They have five children who have known nothing but and been quite involved in ministry all their growing up years: Nathan, Hannah Hernandez, Elizabeth Davis, Deborah and Abigail. They are grown adults and are in thriving ministries of their own.
